Late payments up almost 15% in 12 months
Late payment times for the September 2019 quarter averaged almost 6 days, representing a small drop from the last quarter, but a sharp 14.6% increase compared with the September 2018 period. Despite this latest increase, New Zealand businesses have historically paid on time, particularly compared to Australia, which has averaged between 10 and 15 days over the same period.
